No one likes to think about the ugly reality while they’re trying to lose weight, but a whopping 80 percent of people who lose weight gain it right back. The reason is fairly simple and is a combination of the following: 1.) we are not eating foods that support our metabolism, 2.) we are overstressed– physically from over training for our metabolic state, mentally– from job, family and relationship stress, etc. chemically/nutritionally– stressed from eat processed foods, foods with hormones and pesticides etc., 3.) skipping or waiting to long to eat between meals and allowing blood sugar levels to drop. All these stressors take its toll on the metabolism over the years slowly turning down the body’s thermostat (metaboilc rate). It is no wonder why all the things you used to do to lose weight: cut calories, extra cardio, hitting the gym no longer works. But don’t let that discourage you. It is definitely possible to get fit and healthy once you know the secrets.
