PLEASE READ THESE THOROUGHLY BEFORE EMAILING US. WE HAVE GONE TO GREAT LENGTHS TO HAVE ANSWERS TO ALL THE QUESTIONS WE HAVE TYPICALLY RECEIVED IN THE PAST.
What Exactly is Mind Body Fit Camps Anyway?
Mind Body Fit Camp is the only fitness program that includes top-notch fitness instructions, nutritional coaching and motivational training all designed to get you in the best shape of your life. We believe in a balanced approach to weight loss, which means managing stress, eating real whole foods, focusing on internal motivation, and getting the right amount of physical activity! Besides the training, we include a scientifically based approach to eating, membership site, recipes, educational content, and support! We believe in working smarter, not harder!
I have never worked out before and/or I have injuries and/or I am extremely overweight. Can I still join this Fit Camp?
Certainly! Mind Body Fit Camps specializes in providing challenging workouts for people at any level. We can modify the workouts for beginners to advanced members. If you have any specific injuries, we require that your doctor has ok’d you to participate in our program. The registration forms ask if you have any conditions, so once you hand it in, we are then aware of your conditions and can work with them during the workouts.
For some reason, we still get emails from people who ask if they can participate because they are overweight or have a slight injury. The answer will still be YES if you email us
The only instance (and we are not joking) that there might be an issue is if you are missing a limb. In that case we would ask you to email us so we can discuss what you can/cannot do. Other than that, the answer is an automatic yes because inclusion is what our workouts are all about.
I am completely computer illiterate and do not know how to use email or the Internet. Can you mail me your announcements, purchase my equipment for me, call me with reminders, etc?
Our program is deeply intertwined with the Internet. We send all announcements via email rather frequently as well as any relevant information and forms. To do otherwise would mean we would need to hire someone to do that as it is very time consuming, and that cost would translate to a higher price of services for you. Therefore, if you cannot order the equipment online or go to a store yourself, or if you cannot check your email for announcements, this is probably not the program for you.
Where is your Fit Camp?
Our classes are held in a few different locations.
Celebration Fitness Center- M,W,F 5:15 am
(this location is not open for the Living Social Deal)
**Celebration Golf Club- M,W,F 6am and M,W,TR 6:15pm
**Winter Garden Ananda Center for Yoga & Massage: M,W, F 6am
**Winter Garden Fields (behind Tanner Hall) M,W, F 7:15am
** More class times can be added as space fills up**
How long is each session? How many sessions are there per week?
Each session lasts about 45 minutes. The program is designed to work best when you attend 3 sessions per week. Our classes are usually held in 4-week increments, with a rest week built in.
What will I need to bring to class?
All members should bring a yoga mat, a sweat towel, plenty of water, and a little bit of Orange juice to keep the blood sugar from dropping! BE SURE TO EAT BEFORE CLASS! We also recommend that everyone purchase a foam roller (Wal-Mart sells them for $14.99) In the future, we may ask you to bring a kettlebell. If you ever decide to leave the class, we will purchase it from you if you don’t want to keep it! We will let you know how and where to purchase this when it is needed!
Will I be Sore?
Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is little to moderate. It’s part of the process that lets you know you are improving! After the first two weeks your body will adjust and you’ll find that you’re no longer sore.
When I think boot camp, I think of a drill sergeant screaming in my ear. Is this the style of training I will undergo?
When we refer to “boot camps”, we mean high physical intensity and group training. What we don’t mean is being aggressive or demeaning in any way. We will push you, but never through intimidation. As we get to know our clients, we learn what type of encouragement each individual prefers and try our best to cater to that. For some, that may be a pat on the shoulder, for others that may mean a little tough love ; ).
What do I wear to the Fit Camps?
Wear comfortable, soft, breathable materials. Please do not wear anything too baggy, as it makes it difficult for trainers to see and correct your body movements. Also wear sneakers with good support, laces (not velcro) and soles that are low to the ground (no platform-like soles).
Does the Fit Camp end?
Mind Body Fit Camps is an ongoing fitness program. After all it’s a lifestyle change. You’re welcome to join for a little as one month or stay on board for the long haul like 85% of our members.
Is there a Refund Policy?
Yes, we offer a full 30-day unconditional money back guarantee. Try Mind Body Fit Camps for 30 days, and if you aren’t happy with the results that you’re getting – just let us know and we’ll give you a full refund! (Does not apply to Living Social Deals)
